Exhibit 2. An early and important oak and stained beech armchair with faux bamboo spindles and turned front legs with upholstered seat, back and armchairs designed by William Morris for Dante Gabriel Rossetti and made by Morris, Marshall and Faulkner & Co.

Circa 1865 106cm (41.5in) high, 61cm (24in) wide and 74cm (29in) deep

Provenance: Purchased from the sale of Rossetti's estate at the time of his death and thence by descent.
